Yobe gov’t launches 2nd phase of palliative distribution for 3,000 beneficiaries

The Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, who also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Palliative, has officially launched the second phase of palliative distribution in Zone B at Damagum in Fune Local Government Area.
The aim of this initiative is to provide assistance to the less privileged individuals in the state.

During the distribution exercise, the Deputy Governor emphasized that the target beneficiaries include vulnerable groups such as people living with disabilities, women-headed households, the elderly, and students, among others.
To ensure a fair and timely distribution of the palliatives in the various local government areas, sub-committees were formed, consisting of members from different sectors of society, including traditional rulers, community leaders, religious leaders, and representatives from civil society organizations.
The Deputy Governor urged the community to cooperate with the main committee and sub-committees in order to effectively carry out the distribution process.
He also appealed to the people to continue praying for peace, successful harvests, and overall prosperity within the state.
Furthermore, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mohammad Goje, assured that the beneficiaries would be selected based on their needs, ensuring that only the deserving individuals receive the assistance.
The distribution is expected to reach over 14,500 communities across the state, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
