Gov. Inuwa Yahaya mourns passing of veteran journalist Mato Adamu

Gombe State Governor and Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, received the news of veteran journalist and former BBC Hausa Service correspondent, Alhaji Mato Adamu’s passing with a heavy heart.

Alhaji Mato passed away yesterday in Gombe at the age of 60.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed his condolences in a heartfelt message, praising the late Alhaji Mato’s achievements and recognizing his significant contributions to journalism.

He emphasized how Alhaji Mato’s journalistic endeavours played a crucial role in shaping public discourse.

In addition to his notable career at the BBC, Mato Adamu also served as a media consultant to Governor Inuwa in Gombe.

During this time, his extensive expertise enhanced the state government’s communication strategies, leaving a lasting impact on information dissemination.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya extended his sincere condolences to Alhaji Mato Adamu’s family, friends, and colleagues in the media fraternity.

He also extended these condolences to the Dambam community and the people of Bauchi State, Alhaji Mato’s hometown.

The Governor prayed that Almighty Allah bestows His divine mercy upon Alhaji Mato Adamu’s soul, forgives his shortcomings, and rewards his positive deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
