Former deputy governor gets appointment as SSG

The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Radda, has appointed Alhaji Abdullahi Garba, a former Deputy Governor of the state, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

The appointment was confirmed by Ibrahim Kaula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, in a statement released on Monday. Alhaji Abdullahi Garba, known for his rich experience and expertise as a technocrat, will be replacing Alhaji Ahmed Dangiwa, who has been nominated as a Minister.

The statement emphasized that Abdullahi’s appointment is effective immediately, and he is expected to contribute his extensive knowledge and skills to the growth and development of the state. His outstanding contributions to the progress of Katsina State, particularly during his tenure as the deputy to former Governor Ibrahim Shema, are highly regarded.

Alhaji Abdullahi Garba’s professional background includes serving as the Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice of the state from 2003 to 2009. Subsequently, he transitioned into the Ministry of Education, assuming the same capacity. Currently, he holds the prestigious position of Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University in Katsina.

This appointment reflects the Governor’s trust in Alhaji Abdullahi Garba’s abilities and his dedication to ensuring effective governance in Katsina State.
