Gombe residents mourn as criminals murder prominent Islamic cleric in his residence
In response to the tragic murder of Sheikh Ibrahim H Musa Albani Kuri, a prominent Islamic cleric, in his home in Gombe state, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed his determination to bring the assailants to justice.
The senseless act has disrupted the prevailing peace and security in the state, leaving the community in shock.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, while attending the funeral at the Bolari Izala Mosque in Gombe, strongly condemned the criminal act and assured the citizens of Gombe State that the government is committed to upholding their safety and security.
He stated, “We will take comprehensive measures and employ the full force of our resources to eliminate criminals and ensure that those responsible for this heinous crime are held accountable.”
The Governor emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and united in the pursuit of a society where everyone can live in peace and without fear.
He urged the people of the state to come together in solidarity, upholding the values of empathy and unity that religious leaders like Sheikh Ibrahim Albani Kuri tirelessly preached and promoted.

In this time of mourning, the Governor prayed that Almighty Allah accepts Sheikh Ibrahim’s shahadah and grants him a place in Aljannat Firdaus.
