Gov. Buni swears in youngest Commissioner for Housing & Urban Development, pledges support for youths
The Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, has sworn in the youngest Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmad Buba Abba Kyari.
The newly appointed commissioner hails from Tarmuwa local government area in Yobe state.
Governor Buni expressed his commitment to providing ample opportunities for the youth to flourish during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Damaturu.

He emphasized that his administration will actively pursue policies and programs that foster economic prosperity within the state.
“The youth must be a priority for our government, as they are the majority and the driving force behind our progress,” Governor Buni stated, underscoring the importance of supporting and uplifting young individuals in the state.
Governor Buni further assured the youth that his administration will continue appointing more young individuals to key positions such as Local Government Chairmen, Councillors, Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), and Special Assistants (SAs). Additionally, he pledged to provide scholarship support to enable them to make significant contributions to the overall development of the state.
Meanwhile, the youngest commissioner, Arc. Ahmad Buba Abba Kyari, expressed his commitment to upholding the oaths of allegiance and secrecy that he has sworn. He promised to diligently carry out his duties in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, promoting good governance and service delivery in the state.
The new commissioner commended Governor Buni for his bold statement in recognizing the potential of youths and the importance of giving them opportunities to excel. He also vowed to ensure that the state maintains its progressive stance in implementing mass housing policies, leveraging his appointment for the benefit of the people.
The swearing-in of the youngest commissioner and Governor Buni’s unwavering support for the youth signify a significant stride towards youth empowerment and inclusive governance in Yobe State.
