Gov. Buni visits IGP, seeks cooperation on security matters

The Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, received the Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni, CON, in his office on Wednesday, 2nd August 2023.
Gov Buni and the lGP engaged in a lengthy discussion during the visit.
According to a statement signed by the governor’s media aide, Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni had a lengthy and fruitful discussion on areas of cooperation with the Nigeria Police to strengthen security across the state.

The Governor assured that his administration was committed to ensuring that stability in security in the state is not only achieved but sustained and improved.
“This is the number one priority of our administration and we would spare no effort in achieving it to make Yobe State much safer for socio-economic development,” Buni said.
IGP Egbetokun assured Governor Buni and the people of Yobe State of the preparedness of the Police force to safeguard the state and its people.
He commended Governor Buni for the visit and his zeal for the general security of the state.
