INTERPOL hunts Nigerian woman over N750 million fraud
A Nigerian businesswoman named Ese Cynthia Daniel has been declared wanted by the International Police (INTERPOL) for her alleged involvement in a N750 million fraud case.
The declaration follows a warrant of arrest issued by a Magistrates Court in Lagos State to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
According to an INTERPOL bulletin (CR: 3000X/ICPO/ADM/LD/VCP/Vol. 4/93), Ese Cynthia Daniel, who hails from Delta State, is accused of conspiring with accomplices to fraudulently convert the sum in Lagos between January 24 and 26, 2023.

The suspect allegedly obtained the said amount under the pretense of paying in United States of America dollars but instead absconded to London.
The bulletin states, “The above-named person is hereby declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force. A warrant of arrest has been issued by the Magistrate Court of Lagos. She is wanted for the offenses of conspiracy and fraudulent conversion of funds to the tune of N750 million on 24th–26th January 2023 in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria”.
Ese Cynthia Daniel is described as a 44-year-old businesswoman of Uhorobo tribe, 5’8″ in height, with a medium build, oval face, long broad nose, small mouth, thin lips, and good teeth. She has black eyes, a dark complexion, a pointed chin, and black hair. She is known for her fraudulent habits and usually dresses in English attire. Her home address is listed as Close 302, Terrace 4, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria, and she also resides at No. 1, Magnolia Road, Chiswick, London WA430Y.
