Kano Gov, Ganduje mourn passing of Leadership Newspaper’s correspondent, Abdullahi Yakubu 

Kano State Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, express their heartfelt condolences to the family and colleagues of Late Malam Abdullahi Yakubu, the Kano Correspondent of Leadership Newspaper.

In separate press statements, signed by Malam Muhammad Garba, Chief Of Staff to the National Chairman of the APC, and Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Press Secretary to the Kano Deputy Governor, they also extend their condolences to the staff and management of Leadership Newspaper.

Yakubu, aged 55, passed away on Friday after a prolonged illness in Kano, and he was laid to rest at the Dan Dolo Cemetery following Islamic rites.

The Governor, in expressing his sympathies, acknowledges the immense loss caused by the untimely demise of Yakubu. He prays for strength and resilience for the bereaved family members, wishing them solace during this difficult time.

Ganduje, on his part, describes the loss of the veteran journalist as not only a great loss to Kano State but also to the entire northern Nigeria.

He prays to Almighty Allah to grant Yakubu’s family the strength to endure this irreparable loss of their pillar of support.
