Nigerian teen scores 9 A1s in 2023 WASSCE
A Nigerian prodigy, Isa Salmanu, achieved an exceptional feat in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) by securing A1 grades across all nine subjects he undertook.
Isa, a student at Premiere Academy in Lugbe, Abuja, emerged as the school’s brightest star in the class of 2023.
In addition to his outstanding performance in the WASSCE, Isa Salmanu also attained an impressive score of 347 in his Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (JAMB-UTME).

The West Africa Examination Council recently unveiled the results for 2023, where Isa Salmanu’s prowess was highlighted by his string of A1 grades in subjects such as Economics, Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Studies, and Radio and Television Electronics Works.
Caleb Charles Sogbey shared Isa’s inspiring story on Facebook, introducing him as the valedictorian of Premiere Academy’s class of 2023. The accomplishment was met with widespread admiration and accolades.
