Nigerians knock Akpabio after announcing sharing money to senators to enjoy (Video)
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, was not spared by Nigerians on the microblogging platform, X, after he mistakenly announced on live television that money will be sent to senators to their accounts for them to enjoy during their annual recess.
Senator Akpabio said this after the Senators had adjourned sitting.
The moment which was captured in a live telecast by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on Wednesday is currently trending on X.

“In order for us to enjoy our holidays, a token has been sent to our various accounts by the Clark of the National Assembly,” he said.
The Senate President quickly withdrew statement perhaps after he was informed he was on live telecast.
To this, Nigerians have reacted criticising the kind of leaders voted into power to enrich themselves without having sympathy on the masses even at the time of economic hardship.
