Police in katsina rescue abducted students, resident
Katsina State Police Command has successfully rescued two abducted students from the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State.
Alongside the students, one other victim, Malam Dauda Magini, 55, of Bayan Radio quarters, Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State, was also rescued.

According to ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the command’s spokesman, the rescue operation took place on Friday.
He explained that the students, Ibrahim Abdulwaheed and Abdulrahman Abdulwasiu, were kidnapped by armed bandits who invaded Bayan Radio quarters in the early hours of August 3, 2023.
Upon receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, wasted no time and swiftly mobilized the rescue team. The team, which consisted of the Area Commander Dutsinma, DPO Dutsinma, and the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit, led by CSP Andrew Alphouse, embarked on a search and rescue mission to locate and free the kidnapped victims.
The dedicated rescue team combed through the dense bush, resilient in their pursuit to find the victims. Their determination paid off when they successfully located the abducted students and Malam Dauda Magini.
The victims were rescued unharmed and promptly taken to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
