Shettima, Akpabio grace Deputy Senate President’s son’s wedding
Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Godswill Akpabio were among the distinguished guests who graced the wedding ceremony of Abdullahi, the son of Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin.
Abdullahi and his beloved, Bilkisu Aliyu Sani Madaki, the daughter of Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rep Aliyu Sani Madaki, exchanged vows in a joyful event.
The wedding took place at Isyaka Rabiu Juma’at Mosque in Goron Dutse, Kano, immediately after the Juma’at prayers.

Notable figures including Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, several governors, and prominent politicians were present to celebrate the occasion.
During the ceremony, Vice President Shettima took on the role of the groom’s Wali, representing the family.
He administered the marriage oath and presented a dowry of N500,000. Speaker Abbas accepted the groom’s proposal and bestowed the bride’s hand in marriage.
The wedding Fatiha followed Islamic customs and was led by the Chief Imam of Isyaku Rabiu Juma’at Mosque, Sheikh Abdullahi Mahmud Salga.
In attendance were also distinguished individuals like Senator Ali Ndume, Kawu Sumaila, and members of the Kano Executive Council.
The event not only marked the union of two families but also showcased the coming together of notable personalities from various spheres to celebrate the joyous occasion.
