Swiftly, the injured officer was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention and is currently responding well to treatment.
It’s crucial to emphasize that the Nigeria Customs Service plays a vital role in enforcing government fiscal policies for the betterment of society as a whole.
The officers of this unit are resolute in their commitment to not stand idly by while smugglers, who show no respect for the laws of our land, engage in illicit activities that undermine our security and economic stability.
In response to this heinous act, Comptroller FOU ‘B’, Musa Ibrahim Jalo, expressed deep concern for the injuries inflicted upon his officer.
He has directed a comprehensive investigation to identify and bring the perpetrators of this barbaric act to justice.
Comptroller Jalo firmly stated that any further assaults on officers of the Unit will not be tolerated and will be met with unwavering resistance from our dedicated operatives.
He underscored that such violent attacks will not deter the Unit’s personnel from carrying out their legitimate duties, regardless of the challenges they face.
Comptroller Jalo appealed to traditional rulers, parents, and community leaders to caution their subjects against attacking security personnel.
He warned that anyone caught in such acts will face the full consequences of their actions.
