Spurs beat Bournemouth 2-0 to go top
Tottenham Hotspur Saturday afternoon secured the needed three points to go top of the English Premier League (EPL) table after beating Bournemouth 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium.
This is Spurs’ second consecutive victory in Week 3 of the 2023/23 EPL season after snapping the same scoreline from Manchester United last week Saturday.

Spurs opened the scoreline in 17 minutes after kick off courtesy James Maddison’s right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner after a through pass from Pape Matta Sarr to put his team in a 1-0 lead.
Hosts, Bournemouth failed to find a leveler before referee signalled a break.
At second half, Spurs needed Dejan Kulusevki to be rightly positioned for Destiny Udogie’s pass with a resounding left strike from the side of the six yard box to the bottom right corner to make it 2-0 in the 63rd minute.
Bournemouth made less impact as their first scorer against Liverpool last week, Anthonie Semenyo was substituted in the 73rd minute.
Spurs currently occupy first spot on the log with seven points while Bournemouth are 15th with just a point.
