Yobe gov’t to construct city centre mall in Damaturu

The Yobe State Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, in conjunction with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, has officially designated the project site for the construction of the prestigious Yobe City Centre in Damaturu.

 

Alhaji Kaigama Umar, the Commissioner for Commerce, made this announcement on Sunday in Damaturu, with Alhaji Inuwa Gulani representing him.

He disclosed that the project site had been handed over to Thinklab Group Limited to build a mall aimed at bolstering the economic prospects of the state.

This project is an integral part of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s urban renewal initiative and the broader plan to revitalize economic activities in the region.

Commissioner Umar emphasized that this project aligns with the government’s steadfast commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and enhancing the quality of life for the people of Yobe State.

Furthermore, the commissioner noted that Thinklab Group Limited is a highly respected conglomerate renowned for its extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, infrastructure development, and energy solutions.

He expressed the government’s delight in having Dr. Sa’id Kori, Chairman of the conglomerate, leading this venture and praised the firm’s track record of excellence and unwavering commitment to delivering top-quality results.

In response, Dr. Sa’id Kori, the Chairman, expressed his gratitude to the state government and all stakeholders for entrusting his company with this significant project.

He assured that the Yobe City Centre Mall would be completed in a timely manner, adhering to international quality and standards.

Alhaji Bukar Adamu, Chairman of the Caretaker Committee for Damaturu Local Government Council, extended his appreciation to the visionary leadership of Governor Buni.

He urged the local business community to embrace this development and collaborate closely with the contractors to contribute to the overall progress and prosperity of the state.
