12-year-old boy with missing intestine in Lagos passes away

Adebola Akin-Bright, the 12-year-old boy from Lagos State with a missing intestine, has tragically passed away.

His mother, Abiodun Deborah, confirmed this heartbreaking news during a phone conversation with Vanguard on Tuesday.

Adebola breathed his last at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

It’s worth noting that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had previously visited Adebola and pledged to cover all his medical expenses.

This gesture came in response to Adebola’s mother’s plea to the governor, urging him to investigate the disappearance of her son’s small intestines.

She claimed that the incident occurred while Adebola was receiving treatment at LASUTH.

However, the hospital management vehemently denied these allegations in a statement released on August 12, 2023.

Earlier, the Lagos State House of Assembly had asserted that anyone found responsible for the missing intestine of Adebola Akin-Bright would face prosecution in due course.
