Police bust money ritual scheme, arrest five individuals with human skull

The Niger State Police Command has apprehended five individuals found in possession of a human skull, allegedly for use in a money ritual.
The suspects, upon interrogation, confessed that they were following instructions from a self-proclaimed “alfa” for this sinister purpose.
The State Police spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, released this information in a press statement on Friday.

Initially, two suspects, Isah Mohammed (26) and Idris Mohammed (28) from Sakpe village in Edati Local Government Area, were detained by operatives of a sister security agency during a routine patrol on the Bida-Minna road. The suspects had a human skull skillfully concealed in a Bagco bag.
During police interrogation, the arrested suspects admitted to acquiring the human skull from their own village and implicated three more individuals who assisted in exhuming the skull from a grave.
The accomplices were identified as Ibrahim Jiya (18), Suleiman Usman (22), and Abdullahi Usman (24), all residents of Sakpe village.
Furthermore, it was revealed by the three suspects that the skull belonged to a person named Ndako Daniyan, who had passed away three years ago in their village.
The two initial suspects disclosed that they had encountered an “alfa” named Suleiman, hailing from Kwara State, during their visit to Bida three weeks ago. This “alfa” had apparently instructed them to procure a human skull for the purpose of a money ritual.
The Niger State Police Command is actively pursuing the case, with ongoing efforts to locate and apprehend the mysterious “alfa” believed to be the mastermind behind this macabre scheme.
As investigations proceed, the police are committed to ensuring that justice is served and that the public is safeguarded from similar nefarious activities in the future.
