Adamawa police arrest 32 kidnappers, recover N1.6 million ransom money

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 32 suspected kidnappers and recovered N1.689 million ransom money with four vehicles in one week.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, command spokeperson, disclosed this while briefing journalists about the success recorded in fighting crimes with contribution of professional hunters in the state.

He said the suspects, who have all been charged to court, have been remanded in prison custody awaiting trail.
“This success was recorded as the result of the support received from Adamawa State Government and good people of the state as well as the members of the press,” he said.
According to him, the operatives of the command succeeded in dislodging 4 identified hideouts where the kidnappers normally camp.
He assured that the command would continue to redouble effort to ensure that people in the state are safe.
He mentioned other exhibits recovered from the suspects to include, 13 AK-47 riffle, five locally made pistols, 59 live ammunitions, two voter cards, ten den gun, and seven fabricated guns.
