Job Title: Video and Podcast Editor

Job Description
We are looking for a talented Video and Podcast Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in editing video and audio content, with the ability to add graphic elements to enhance the visual appeal of our multimedia productions. Experience in graphics design is highly desirable. The position is based in Abuja, Nigeria. Key Responsibilities: * Video and Audio Editing: Edit video and audio content for Neptune Prime and Neptune Prime Podcast, ensuring high quality and engaging final products. * Graphics Design: Create and incorporate graphic elements, animations, and visual effects to enhance video and audio content. * Content Enhancement: Collaborate with content creators to enhance the visual and auditory aspects of multimedia productions. * Quality Control: Ensure that all edited content meets NEPTUNE’s quality and style standards. * Technical Proficiency: Stay updated on the latest video and audio editing software and tools. * Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. * Collaboration: Collaborate with the editorial and production teams to bring multimedia projects to fruition. * Podcast Production: When required, assist in the production and editing of podcast episodes. Qualifications: * Proven experience in video and audio editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. * Proficiency in video and audio editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, etc. * Strong graphics design skills and proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator). * Ability to work creatively and independently, with strong problem-solving skills. * Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual and auditory aesthetics. * Knowledge of current trends in multimedia content production. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Based in Abuja, Nigeria. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the high editorial standards of Neptune Prime. The ideal candidate should have experience in journalism, exceptional editing skills, and a deep understanding of the North East region, especially in the humanitarian context.
