Edo Political Rift: Security agents block deputy governor Shaibu from entering gov’t house (Video)

In an unexpected turn of events, Comrade Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, was denied access to his office in the Government House on Monday. According to sources, the gate leading to his office was locked, and there was no one available to open it for him.

It appears that the relocation of the deputy governor’s office to a different location outside the Government House might be the cause of this issue. Reports suggest that Shaibu was instructed to move to a new office situated at No. 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, close to the Government House.

Witnesses stated that Shaibu waited for almost 30 minutes but eventually left without gaining entry. This incident comes after the deputy governor recently withdrew a case he filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, which aimed to prevent his alleged impeachment by Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Edo State House of Assembly.

This development raises concerns that the ongoing dispute between the governor and his deputy may not be resolved in the near future. As events continue to unfold, the situation in Edo State remains uncertain.
