Gov. Abdulrazaq orders probe into alleged murder of media personality
Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has instructed security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged murder of a media personality in the state.
The deceased, Yusuf Mubaarak, a 27-year-old from Ilorin, went missing on Wednesday night, and his body was later discovered in the Unity Road area of Ilorin metropolis.
The burial of Mubaarak took place on Saturday evening, with friends, associates, and acquaintances expressing their grief. Reacting to the incident, Governor AbdulRazaq expressed shock and sadness, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive investigation by security agencies.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Saturday night, the Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of Mubaarak, his friends, and all the youth communities in the state.
“The Governor, himself a father, strongly condemns the cowardly violence meted to the lad and demands immediate and thorough investigation into the death of the promising chap, to arrest and bring his assailants to justice.
“No resources should be spared to get justice for Mubaarak and his family. We charge the security agencies to cast their nets as widely as possible to answer all pending questions around his painful death,” he said.
The Governor prayed for Allah to grant Mubaarak Al-Jannah Firdaus and provide comfort to his family and all those mourning the loss of the young and talented individual.
