Gov. Akeredolu congratulates President Tinubu as he returns from medical leave
Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has returned to Nigeria after a three-month medical leave in Germany.
Akeredolu initially travelled to Germany for medical treatment after falling ill.
Reliable sources within the government have confirmed his arrival at his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday.
It has been reported that members of the State Executive Council and prominent party figures are scheduled to meet with him at his Ibadan residence on Friday.
During this visit, Akeredolu is expected to receive briefings from his cabinet members, led by the acting governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa.

It is anticipated that he will spend several weeks in Ibadan before fully resuming his official duties.
Recall that Governor Akeredolu began his medical leave in June, and it was extended following the advice of his doctors, which was approved by the state House of Assembly.
A photo of the governor inside the airplane he boarded on his return journey had circulated online.
The First Lady, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, also announced their return on her Facebook page, stating they were “Homebound.”
A top government source confirmed to Vanguard that the governor had indeed returned to the country and would meet with his executive council members on Friday in Ibadan.
The source also mentioned that Governor Akeredolu would formally inform the state House of Assembly before fully resuming his duties.
Meanwhile, Governor Akeredolu extended his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu on the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT), which upheld his victory in the February 25 Presidential Election.
He also extended his congratulations to their party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, in Akure, the governor described the PEPT judgment as a validation of the people’s mandate and the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu’s administration.
He emphasized the importance of democratic values and urged all parties involved to come together and work for the betterment of the nation.
Akeredolu’s message also called for unity and a focus on national interest, encouraging all Nigerians to accept the Tribunal’s verdict in good faith and support the President in delivering on his Renewed Hope agenda.
He stressed that election matters should not compromise the nation’s unity and urged everyone to avoid divisive politics and comments.
