This incident adds to the growing number of kidnappings for ransom in the Toro Local Government area, causing fear and hindering economic activities in the region.

Reacting to the incident, the member representing Toro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ismail Dabo, expressed his condemnation and called for calm. He regarded the incident as unfortunate and regrettable, particularly in light of the current economic situation.

Efforts to reach the Bauchi State Police Command for confirmation and response were unsuccessful, as calls to the Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, went unanswered, and he did not respond to messages.
