NLC, TUC set to embark on nationwide indefinite strike
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) will jointly hold a press briefing at 3 p.m. today to declare a nationwide indefinite strike.
The decision to embark on this strike comes after the two labour centres resolved their differences and agreed to stand together.

Previously, the NLC had undertaken a two-day warning strike on September 5 and 6 in protest against the Federal Government’s removal of fuel subsidy. While the TUC did not participate in the warning strike, it has now joined forces with the NLC to declare an indefinite strike.
Both the NLC and TUC are demanding that the Federal Government address the various socioeconomic hardships faced by Nigerians.
