Seven more students regain freedom in Zamfara kidnapping saga
The Joint Task Force of Operation Hadarin Daji has executed a daring rescue operation, liberating an additional seven female students from the clutches of kidnappers at the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State.
Recall that last Friday, a group of armed bandits launched a brazen attack on the university, abducting more than 20 students from their rented lodge in Sabon Gida, Bungudu LGA of the state.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication with a focus on the Lake Chad region, reports that the seven students were freed along with three male employees of Gupran Engineering Zervices Ltd.
This remarkable development comes on the heels of an earlier rescue on the same fateful Friday, where six female students were successfully extracted from captivity.
