Tinubu appoints Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, brother of LP’s Datti, as Special Adviser
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), as the Special Adviser on Political Issues in the office of Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
News Point Nigeria reports that Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has accepted the role of Special Adviser on Political Issues to Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

Baba-Ahmed is the elder brother of Datti Baba-Ahmed, the running mate of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the February 25 election.
In a post on his X handle on Monday, Baba-Ahmed disclosed his new appointment and expressed his honor to contribute to nation-building.
“It is time to make it public that I have accepted the call to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to the VP,” said Hakeem.
“This is not the time for fence-sitting or criticism when you can be useful in turning the country around. I am honored and humbled. Please pray for me and Nigeria.”
Baba-Ahmed also served as the former Chief of Staff to Bukola Saraki, former Senate President from 2017 to 2019.
