To kick off the commissioning initiatives, Shettima first visited the Shuwari II Mega Primary School, a massive establishment equipped with 20 spacious classrooms, capable of accommodating over 1,200 students. The school also includes staff quarters and well-maintained sports facilities.

VP Shettima then continued the commissioning ceremony at Shuwari II, where he unveiled a 30-bed community Primary Healthcare centre.

This facility was constructed to meet the growing healthcare demands resulting from the influx of internally displaced persons to the Maiduguri Metropolis and its surroundings.

Next, paying tribute to the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin Elkanemi, the Vice President honoured the royal palace with his presence.

Departing from the palace, VP Shettima proceeded to inaugurate the Government Day Secondary School in Gamboru, appropriately named after the late Borno Secretary to the State Government, Usman Jidda Shuwa. This modern educational institution boasts 30 well-equipped classrooms, various sporting facilities, and state-of-the-art laboratories.

Lastly, the Vice President unveiled another impressive educational establishment in the Alakaramti community. With 30 classrooms, an administrative block, essential sporting facilities, and reliable electricity and water systems, this mega school promises a conducive learning environment for its students.

During the commissioning ceremonies, VP Shettima took the opportunity to distribute uniforms, writing materials, and textbooks to the students, ensuring they have the necessary resources to excel in their education.
