Hudu, suspended Adamawa REC, to be arraigned in November

The Adamawa State High Court of Justice has fixed November 6th, 2023, as the date for the arraignment of the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barrister Hudu Ari Yunusa.

Hudu faces multiple charges, including announcing false electoral results, breaching his oath of neutrality, disorderly conduct during elections, inciting disturbance, and personating a public servant.

The arraignment was initially scheduled for July 27th, 2023.

However, he failed to appear in court, leading Justice Benjamin Manji Lawan to adjourn the case for the third time.

The court later set October 23rd, 2023, to arraign the suspended officer for alleged electoral offences.

Unfortunately, the arraignment could not proceed as scheduled due to the court’s inability to sit.
