CAC staff rejoice as A. G. Abubakar steps down from Registrar General position
Amid joyous scenes on Tigris Crescent in Maitama, CAC employees celebrated the departure of Alhaji Garba Abubakar from his role as Registrar General. The jubilation around the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) headquarters was accompanied by the sharing of soft drinks with onlookers.
Abubakar, who had earned the moniker “Emperor” due to his perceived autocratic leadership style, marked his exit as the chief executive officer.

This change follows a statement from Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential adviser on media and publicity, aligning with the administration’s commitment to bolster Nigeria’s economic growth through the facilitation of small, medium, and large-scale industries.
The 14 agencies and their new chief executives are:

Industrial Training Fund (ITF) — Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin
National Sugar Development Council (NSDC) — Kamar Bakrin
Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA) — Olufemi Ogunyemi
Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) — Nonye Ayeni
Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) — Aisha Rimi
Oil & Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA) — Bamanga Usman Jada
Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) — Charles Odii
Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) — Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke
