Gov. Buni appoints Suleiman Dauda as focal person, coordinator of solutions for IDPs
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has approved the appointment of Suleiman Dauda as Yobe State Focal Person/Project Coordinator, Solutions for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Host Communities (SOLID), a World Bank project.
In an appointment letter obtained by Neptune Prime, signed by Baba Malam Wali, Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Suleiman Dauda was appointed to the position because of his competence, past records of performance and commitment toward the development of the state.
The appointment is with immediate effect.
The Solutions for the IDPs and Host Communities Project (SOLID) is a comprehensive strategy aimed at addressing the challenges faced by cities hosting Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and their surrounding host communities.
The primary objective of the project will be to improve the living conditions, infrastructure and services delivery in these host cities, and enhance their capacity to accommodate IDPs while ensuring better living standards for both IDPs and host community residents.
