Addressing the issue, the former Rivers State governor condemned those who maliciously incite religious sentiments for cheap political gains. He stated, “In Nigeria, I have no reason to incite hatred towards any religious group and instead should support anyone who is fighting for a noble cause.”
Wike further emphasized that the government is committed to supporting the maintenance of national monuments, regardless of their religious affiliations. He urged unity and peace among the citizens, calling upon his visitors to pray for the country’s well-being.
