Kwankwaso donates house on 67th birthday to Quranic Institute
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Nigeria, celebrated his 67th birthday by generously donating his personal residence to establish the Majidadi Quranic Institute of Research and Advancement.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that this Islamic center aims to provide Almajiris, who are dedicated to memorizing the Holy Quran, with the opportunity to receive comprehensive training and certification, including primary, secondary, and diploma certificates.
Kwankwaso explained, “They will undergo rigorous training in both English and Arabic studies with which they will use the certificates to join the academia and make the sky their limits in pursuit for knowledge.”
He emphasized that the institute was his brainchild, designed not only to remove beggars from the streets but also to provide them with life-changing opportunities.
Kwankwaso stated that the institute, formerly his Miller Road residence, is now open for the benefit of all humanity.
He said: “This center is to get people who have memorized the Glorious Quran registered, select those who meet with requirements, and examine them.
“It has a curriculum in which men and women will be trained within the shortest possible time to get them primary and secondary certificates.
“They will be given them diploma in Islamic education. With this, they can go to Universities and the sky will be the limit for them.
“They will be given the opportunity to be certified and accommodated in the system”.
In appreciation of this noble initiative, Governor Abba Yusuf expressed gratitude to his mentor, Kwankwaso, for the establishment of the institute, foreseeing further development in the state’s education sector.
He also revealed plans by the State Government to rehabilitate 44 Tsangiya Islamic Schools across various local government areas.
Furthermore, Yusuf promised that the state government would provide essential learning materials to create a conducive learning environment.
He commended Kwankwaso for his exceptional leadership, which has contributed to the state’s progress, and pledged to continue drawing inspiration from his style of governance for the betterment of democratic governance.
