Police in Katsina confirm abduction of five students from FUDMA
The Police in Katsina State has confirmed that gunmen kidnapped five female students of the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Abubakar Aliyu stated that the terrorists invaded the “residence of the students” located behind Mariamoh Ajiri Memorial School, Dutsinma around 2 a.m. on Wednesday.

Aliyu also said that the police have arrested a suspect who allegedly supplied information to the terrorists for the abduction.
He further noted that efforts are currently underway to rescue the five students unhurt.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), off-campus living has become popular among FUDMA students due to security issues in the area.
