Rivers State Assembly begins proceedings to impeach Gov. Fubara
In a significant development, the Rivers State House of Assembly initiated impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara, sparking a political crisis in the state.
The Assembly’s move followed the earlier impeachment of Majority Leader Hon. Edison Ehie, a close ally of the governor, seemingly clearing the path for the governor’s impeachment.
