Wike, Fubara meet at Aso Villa amid impeachment concerns
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State and Minister Nyesom Wike of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) came together in a meeting held at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
Images of the two politicians shaking hands showcased a cordial atmosphere.
The meeting, which took place following the initiation of impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara by the Rivers State House of Assembly, brought the two members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) together.

Speculations suggest that their visit to the Villa was connected to a gathering of the Nigeria Police Council, a constitutional body responsible for the organization and administration of the Nigeria Police Force.
Led by President Bola Tinubu, the Council is comprised of the governors from each state of the Federation, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, and the Inspector-General of Police.
