Civil defence personnel shoot 2 secondary school students during exams
The Nigeria Police have detained three security personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for shooting two students from Senior Secondary School, Life Camp, in the Jabi and Gwarinpa areas of the Federal Capital Territory.
The injured students are currently receiving medical treatment at Gwarinpa Hospital.
In response to the incident, enraged high school students vandalized three NSCDC patrol vehicles in protest against the attack on their classmates.

The shooting took place at approximately 11:20 am on Wednesday, while the NSCDC personnel were at the school to provide security during an ongoing examination.
FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident and stated that the police had restored peace in the affected area.
She also mentioned that an investigation into the incident has been ordered by the CP, Haruna Garba.
The FCT Command of the NSCDC is yet to comment on the matter. The FCT NSCDC spokesperson, Comfort Okomanyi, expressed her unavailability but assured that she would gather an update from the command and revert with the information.
