Governor Mai Mala of Yobe State has sworn in Baba Malam Wali as Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG).

Governor Buni said Malam Wali has exhibited excellent administration skills in the coordination and implementation of government policies and programmes, and improved working synergy among Ministries, Department and Agencies in the state.

“I enjoined you to champion the delegation of duty and responsibilities to all officers under the supervision of their superiors to groom more competent officers as others go on retirement.

“It is by doing so, that the state would harvest more proficient officers trained by your rich wealth of experience and knowledge.

“I’m convinced that the principle of division of labour and shared responsibilities would enhance efficiency and speed, and check unnecessary administrative bottlenecks that slow down government businesses,” he said.

The Governor congratulated the sworn-in Yobe SSG for yet another opportunity to serve the state in the exalted position and looks forward to his increased commitment to service.
