Neptune Prime CEO/Publisher calls for political transparency at Ebony Herald awards, book launch

On the second day of the Ebony Herald awards event held at the Stonehedge Hotel in Abuja on November 9th, 2023, Dr. Hassan Gimba, the CEO/Publisher of Neptune Prime, delivered a lecture titled “Renewed Hope for Unity and Progress.”

Drawing from his own written piece, he emphasized the need for political transparency, particularly addressing the All Progressives Congress (APC) and their responsibility to shun hypocrisy.

In the address, Dr. Gimba voiced disappointment over missed opportunities by former President Muhammadu Buhari to redefine Nigerian politics and establish himself among renowned global leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Lee Kuan Yew, and Mahatma Gandhi.

He urged President Tinubu to address challenges and crisis Nigerians are facing today.

The event also featured the launch of Malam Mohammed Kabir Ilyasu’s book “Critique” amidst calls for positive change in Nigerian society.

During his remarks at the event, Malam Mohammed Kabir Ilyasu urged Nigerians “not to rely on the government, become entrepreneurs, and encouraged youths to engage in skill acquisition.” Additionally, he advocated for the government to provide protection for girl children.

The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries such as Alhaji Ayinde Soaga, Dr. Yahuza Yashe, Professor Maryam Abdullahi, Jagaba Mata Zazzau, Engineer Charles Adekuajo, Hajiya Ajara Iye Aba, the president of Baobab Producers Process and Makers Association in Nigeria, Hajiya Yasmin Bintu Sabeer, the coordinator of Tinubu National Frontiers, Hajiya Amina Abdulmalik Halidu Giwa, Hajiya Zainab Ilyasu Sa’ab, and Hajiya Hadiza Yusuf and others.
