Nigerian pastor under fire for failing to pay N100k after staged miracle

A Nigerian lady has taken to Facebook to call out a pastor whom she alleges owes her N100k following her participation in a staged miracle scheme.

The lady, a student who has chosen to remain anonymous, claims that the pastor paid her an advance of N100,000 to act as a deaf person during the orchestrated miracle, with the promise of receiving the remaining balance on the same day.

The story was shared on Facebook by user Nenye Uzowulu, who posted the student’s plea for assistance without disclosing the identities of the individuals involved.

According to the student, it has been two weeks since the staged miracle took place, and she is yet to receive the promised balance.

Expressing her frustration, the student revealed that the pastor’s personal assistant always claims he is too occupied to address her concerns whenever she attempts to contact him.

While acknowledging the ethical lapse in her own actions, the student explained that she resorted to the staged miracle as a means to meet the financial demands of her education. She firmly stated that prostitution was not an option for her.

In her own words, she said, “A pastor paid me an advance of 100k to act like deaf, which after performing the miracle I’m to be paid my 100k balance the said evening!

“This is two weeks now I’m yet to get my 100,000 balance. Whenever I call him on the phone, his PA will pick up only to tell me he is busy. I know what I did was very wrong in the sight of God. But I’m a student striving so hard to meet up in school.

“Prostitution is one thing I vow never to do in my life. He has been using my friends and paying them. Why owe me? How do I get my balance, please. Even the man that connected me is telling me to exercise patience. Till when!”

Netizens have had varied reactions to the story, with some advising the woman to seek forgiveness and move on, while others suggested taking more assertive action by publicly exposing the pastor.

Critics also pointed out the irony of the situation, expressing their distrust in “miracle-working” pastors.
