Police arrest pastor over fake prophecies, s3xual molestation of 21-year-old lady

A pastor, simply identified as Sunday from the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Agbado area of Ogun State, has been apprehended for allegedly making false prophecies and abducting a 21-year-old lady named Aliu Blessing.
According to the Ogun State Police Command, the victim visited the church to care for her ailing sister when the pastor claimed that she would die on her wedding day if she didn’t engage in sexual relations with him.
The pastor also purportedly declared that any man who tried to be intimate with the victim other than himself would meet a similar fate.
As a result of these deceptive prophecies, the pastor allegedly kidnapped Blessing on February 2, 2023, and kept her at an undisclosed location, causing distress to her family.

After more than seven months in captivity, Blessing returned home on November 5, 2023, and recounted how Sunday took her to his family residence in Ilaro and subsequently to a hotel, where he allegedly engaged in multiple non-consensual sexual acts with her.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest and the suspect’s confession to the crimes, he said the pastor is currently in custody and will face legal action once the investigation is concluded.
He said the victim had been taken to the hospital due to symptoms of psychological or psychiatric stress.
