Results were predetermined before election in Kogi – SDP governorship candidate

Murtala Ajaka, the governorship candidate under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi State, has cast doubt on the integrity of the recently concluded election, claiming that the results were predetermined before the polls even commenced.

In an interview with Channels Television, Ajaka expressed concerns about the legitimacy of the voting process and warned that future elections could be at risk if these issues are not addressed promptly.

Ajaka emphasized the need for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to thoroughly investigate officials involved in the election, stating, “With all due respect to the person of the INEC chairman, if they don’t do a checklist and investigate their officials that went to Kogi State, if they allow this to stand, I doubt if there will be an election in 2027”.

“Because people will go into the election armed, and I fear Somalia will be a child’s play because you cannot do all this kind of huge investment with all the assurances that it’s going to be open to all; the performance will determine your results only for somebody to have a written result.”
