Sule vs Ombugadu: Court of Appeal sets date for hearing

The Court of Appeal has scheduled a hearing for the appeal filed by Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule on Wednesday, 15th November.

This appeal challenges the majority judgment of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in favor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, David Ombugadu.

The notice of hearing was issued to the parties involved and will commence at the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division at 9 am.

Governor Sule is contesting the tribunal’s ruling on his re-election and has listed 27 grounds of appeals for determination by the appellate court.

His appeal questions the tribunal’s jurisdictional competence and the provisions of the Constitution and Electoral Act.

Sule is urging the Appellate Court to set aside the decision of the lower court and affirm his election victory as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The appeal involves several parties, including Ombugadu, PDP, INEC, and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
