Teenage girl reports father for impregnating her, suggesting abortion

A father named Ganiyu Aikore from Mokola Isale Tapa in Abeokuta, Ogun State has been apprehended for allegedly impregnating his 17-year-old daughter.
The daughter, whose identity remains undisclosed, bravely came forward after suspecting her father’s attempt to procure abortion pills for her.

Residents, upon learning of the distressing situation, immediately reported the matter to the community chairman, who took decisive action by accompanying the daughter to the Adatan Police Division to file a complaint against her father.
Authorities have since initiated a preliminary investigation into the matter and have confirmed that the incestuous abuse had been ongoing for an extended period.
The spokesperson of the police command, Omolola Odutola, revealed that the victim is currently 23 weeks pregnant, indicating the long-term nature of the abuse.
Although the police have promptly arrested Aikore, further investigation is still underway to gather more evidence and uncover the full extent of the crimes committed.
