Bandits in Katsina kill 4 farmers, abduct 8 others
A brutal attack by suspected bandits left four farmers dead and eight others abducted in Nahuta village, Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The farmers, who were harvesting their crops, fell victim to the assailants on Saturday as they launched a fatal ambush.
According to ASP Abubakar Aliyu, the police spokesperson in Katsina, the attackers opened fire on the farmers, killing four and injuring one.

“The suspected bandits attacked the farmers, and opened fire on them thereby killing four and injuring one; they also abducted eight others,’’ Aliyu said.
The incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
The authorities are actively addressing the situation and are dedicated to bringing the perpetrators to justice.
According to him, one of the farmers managed to escape the attack but suffered gunshot wounds during the ordeal.
This senseless act of violence is a distressing loss, and our thoughts are with the affected families and the entire community during this difficult time, he added.
