BUA Group affirms sale of cement at N3,500 per bag from January 2024
The Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul-Samad Rabiu, reiterated the company’s commitment to selling cement at N3,500 per bag, starting January 2024.
He made this announcement on Thursday, December 28, in Lagos, following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
Rabiu assured that the company would maintain reasonable prices for consumers, stating, “The set price will be N3,500 per bag, ex-factory plus VAT, and then delivered to customers based on the region.”

He explained that the pricing would vary depending on the distance and location, considering BUA’s factories in Edo and Sokoto states. Rabiu highlighted the upcoming Sokoto location, set to open in January 2024, with an expected impact of about six million tonnes per annum.
Despite acknowledging some challenges, Rabiu expressed optimism in addressing and overcoming them.
Additionally, he shared his positive impressions of President Bola Tinubu’s relaxed demeanor during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
