CGC Adeniyi inaugurates new board members for Customs’ companies
The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, recently inaugurated new chairpersons and members of the four Customs companies, signaling a significant development within the agency.
The inauguration, which took place at the Customs Headquarters in Abuja, involved the installation of leaders for Customs Service Technical & Hanger Services Limited, Nigeria Customs Service Training & Hotels Limited, Nigeria Customs Service Hospital Limited, and Nigeria Customs Broadcast Network Limited.

CGC Adeniyi highlighted the importance of these companies in the welfare and well-being of officers, emphasizing their crucial role in revenue generation and the implementation of fiscal policies, and the economic prosperity of the country.
He expressed the agency’s commitment to improving officers’ welfare through the establishment of these companies.
The CGC also addressed the breadth of services covered by the companies, such as aviation services, hospitals, healthcare, and broadcasting, underscoring the diversity and necessity of the ventures.
He assured that board members are drawn from relevant departments and have been well acquainted with managing the affairs of the companies.
Additionally, he spotlighted the importance of learning from other successful government ventures and expressed optimism about the profitability and stability of the newly inaugurated companies.
The newly appointed leaders were also announced, with ACG AO Alajogun to chair Nigeria Customs Services’ Technical and Hanger Service Limited, ACG Dappa-Williams to head Nigeria Customs Service Training and Hotels Limited, ACG Ibrahim Alfa set to lead Nigeria Customs Service Hospital Limited, and Comptroller Kamal Muhammad to head Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network Limited. Representatives from the Ministry of Finance were appointed as Members and representatives from the Directorate of Legal Services were named the Secretaries to the companies.
CGC Adeniyi charged the board members to ensure the effective management of the companies and remain focused on discharging their duties and responsibilities.
He said, “I wish to charge members of the boards of these different companies to see to the effective management of the companies and to be focused on discharging their duties and responsibilities. You are assured of my support and guidance at all times.”
