Elderly woman in Ogun State admits to selling only 10 human heads in grisly trade
An elderly woman and her associates, engaged in the illicit trade of human parts, have been apprehended by the Ogun State police command.
The suspects were captured by members of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad after an officer, undercover as a buyer, exposed their gruesome activities. A human head, priced at N120,000, was about to be sold before the police intervened.
The recovered body parts, including kidneys, heads, intestines, livers, and more, prompted the investigation due to a surge in unexplained disappearances.
The police noted that the majority of the seized parts were fresh.
The arrested gang members comprise a grave digger, buyer, and seller.

The human parts buyer revealed a four-year involvement in the trade, purchasing heads from the elderly woman for spiritual purposes, sometimes for as low as N10,000.
One grave digger explained obtaining heads by exhuming corpses, while another acknowledged digging graves for the gang and confirmed awareness of the human parts trade from the cemetery.
During the arrest, the elderly woman, who specialized in selling human body parts, went to great lengths to mislead investigators by consuming a piece of human flesh and claiming it was regular beef.
She admitted to selling only 10 human heads over two years and further disclosed that heads were shredded into tiny pieces for herbalists’ use.
The police emphasized that investigations are ongoing in the case.
