Governor Bago condoles with Emir of Suleja over wife’s death
Hajiya Fatima Hussaina Awwal Ibrahim, the Emir of Suleja’s eldest wife, has departed after a brief illness.
The news of her demise has draped the Suleja Emirate in mourning.
The late Hajiya Fatima was laid to rest following Islamic rites, with the community gathering to bid farewell to a woman of significant stature in the emirate.
Her passing is not only a personal sorrow for the Emir and his family but is also lamented by the entire state.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago extended his condolences, recognising the depth of the loss not only for the Emirate but for the wider community in Niger State.
In a condolence message delivered by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago urged the Emir to seek solace in Allah, acknowledging her departure as part of His divine will.

Encouraging the Emir of Zazzau Suleja to stand firm in his faith, Governor Bago stressed the importance of collective support during times of grief.
He offered prayers for the departed soul, seeking Allah’s mercy, and extended his prayers for strength to the immediate and extended family of the Emir, as well as the entire Suleja Emirate, to bear the weight of this loss.
