IGP Egbetokun summons top police officials for a meeting on national security
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has summoned his top lieutenants for a crucial strategy session scheduled for Monday at Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting, which is aimed at bolstering the security net across the nation this festive season, will see Deputy Inspectors General, Assistant Inspector Generals, and Commissioners of Police converge to refine anti-crime tactics.
“The meeting, which is at the instance of the IGP, would address many security issues and review Police’s anti-crime strategies for efficiency and effectiveness towards peace and order in our dear country,” the statement from Force spokesman Ademuyiwa Adejobi said.

It added: “The IGP would also seize the opportunity to roll out the achievements of the police within the last ten weeks.
“The meeting involves Commissioners of Police and above and other tactical commanders. All hands must be on deck to provide adequate security for all and sundry in Nigeria”
