Landlord’s son in Ondo kills female tenant, cuts her body in pieces
The Ondo State Police Command have apprehended Fatai Bakare, a 28-year-old landlord’s son, for the alleged murder of his 42-year-old female tenant, Onyimi Grace.
Bakare dismembered the victim’s body after the reported killing, packed the body parts into a bag, and discarded it at an uncompleted building in Ore town, Odigbo Local Government Area.
Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed Bakare’s status as an ex-convict and disclosed that the appalling incident occurred on December 8th, 2023.

Bakare managed to flee the scene but was later apprehended the following day while en route to Ode Irele town in Irele Local Government Area.
Preliminary investigations revealed incriminating evidence, including blood-stained clothing found in Bakare’s residence, strongly linking him to the crime.
The suspect, reportedly an internet fraudster, will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Command for further investigations.
Following the conclusion of the police inquiry, he will face murder charges in court. If found guilty, Bakare could potentially face a life sentence for the alleged murder.
